Specially shaped seamless steel pipes are a general term for seamless steel pipes with cross-sectional shapes other than circular. According to different cross-sectional dimensions, they are categorized into equal wall thickness irregular pipes (code D), unequal wall thickness irregular pipes (code BD), and variable diameter irregular pipes (code BJ).
These pipes are widely used in structural components, tools, and mechanical parts. Compared to circular pipes, special-shaped pipes generally offer larger moments of inertia and cross-sectional modulus, providing superior bending and torsional resistance.

1. Site Selection: Choose a clean, tidy area with smooth drainage, far from harmful gases or dust.
2. Material Protection: Do not stack near corrosive materials like acid, alkali, or salt.
3. Classification: Stack different types of steel separately to avoid confusion.
4. Outdoor Stacking: Large-diameter pipes and forgings may be stacked outdoors with proper support.
5. Ventilation: Small and medium shaped steel should be stored in well-ventilated sheds with bottom cushioning.
6. Indoor Storage: High-precision or thin-walled pipes should be kept in closed warehouses with ventilation devices.
7. Maintenance: Ensure ventilation on sunny days and moisture prevention on rainy days.
