DIN 2448 is a standard that gives specifications for seamless carbon steel pipes and tubes including conventional masses per unit length, dimensions, couplings in addition to weights. Replaced by EN 10210, the DIN 2448 Seamless Steel Tubes could be hot formed either with or minus the consequent heat treatment. These hollow pipes can be cold formed with subsequent heat treatment to achieve metallurgical conditions equivalent to hot-formed products.
